I own the volkswagen vento highline diesel 1.6 from october 5th 2011. Its been a great experience having this car and i should be lucky enough to afford one. The build quality and the stability proves its german engineering. It has nitrox suspension system for all the four wheels and its excellent for indian roads as well. It is driven by a 1.5liter TDI(turbo charged diesel injection) which delivers 105bhp@4000rpm with an excellent torque of 250nm. The only one exciting feature of german cars is that we can open and shut all the windows with the key remote.
The key features of the highline variant are:
  • Halogen headlights
  • Rear centre armrest
  • ABS (Anti-lock braking system)
  • Pinch-guard safety for all 4 power windows
  • Polk audio RCD 310 music system with USB connectivity
  • Steering wheel, tilt and telescopic adjustable
  • 14 inch steel spare wheel
  • Fully lined trunk and trunk floor
  • RCD 310 music system with USB connectivity
  • Power windows, front and rear
  • Outside rear view mirror, Electrically adjustable
  • Remote control central locking
  • Dual airbag, driver and passenger side
  • Metallic/pearl effect paint
  • Dust and pollen filter

  • According to my experience, you can own a vento for its
    • Build quality and stability
    • Quality of metal and plastics used
    • Steering wheel
    • Turbo kick from 2nd gear to 3rd and above
    • Rear legroom
    • Boot space
    • Luxury feel with lots of prestige
    • Fuel economy
    • Ground clearance
    • Safest sedan
Some shortcomings what i felt about the vento are
    • Price gap between variants
    • Expensive spares
    • Difficult to maintain beige interiors
    • Rear power windows opens only 70% for child safety
